Attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric problem commonly observed during childhood. Medical attention is required in such cases. Medical history and investigations are needed for the diagnosis of ADHD.Methylphenidate is used to treat ADHD. One of the common problems observed in adolescents is school truancy.

Children with School truancy do not have any interest in attending the school. They usually start to school but stay at some other places and make their parents feel that they attended the school. Such attitude increases in truanting children with age. There are many factors which are responsible behavior. Such as lack of proper parental observation, improper parent relationship etc. The school truancy behavior not only affects the adolescents but also their family. The diagnosis of this behavior is very difficult. Parents of such kids say that their child starts to school and spent their time outside and even lies.

In this type of neurodevelopment disorder, as the child grows, changes occur in the brain and the ADHD symptoms also vary. The primary causes for ADHD occurrence include abnormalities, cerebral infection, trauma and prematurity. Psychosocial problems in the family worsen the symptoms. The age is an important factor to treat ADHD. Hyperactivity and inattentive symptoms are most commonly observed in pre-school  children . They can’t stay in a place, do not respond and lack attention. During school age, they bring lots of complaints. They fight with others, do not sit in the class rooms. As they grow hyperactivity decreases, and inattention increases. Diagnosing ADHD in early childhood is a challenge for physicians.
